SHABBAT SCHOOL MINISTRY
Elaine Stewart heads up our Shabbat School. The mission of our Shabbat School program is to "train up a child in the way he should go." Lessons focus on:
Knowledge of God's Word and how to use the Bible, including scripture memorization.
Understanding Messianic Judaism through the Biblical Holy Days
Most importantly, understanding the plan of salvation and a personal relationship with Messiah Yeshua.
We have classes for preschool through middle school during the Friday night Evev Shabbat service, and during Saturday morning Shabbat services. The children participate in the liturgical service, then go to their classes during the message, and then join the congregation in time for praise and worship. They have a special part in all of the celebrations- asking the four questions during the Passover Seder, decorating the Sukkah for the Feast of Tabernacles, singing, dancing and acting in the Chanukah program, and enjoying a fun festival for Purim. At Congregation Roeh Israel, we see our children as the future leaders of the Body of Messiah and seek to equip them to live a life pleasing to the Lord. They are truly precious in His sight. Sowing Seeds of Promise
Daniel and Stephanie Young are in charge of Nursery Ministry here at Roeh Israel. The Nursery is open during the message for newborn babies up to 2 years of age along with their parents. Nursery assistants are welcome to play with children during the message and to sanitize toys. Help is always needed and volunteers are welcome! A private area for nursing mothers is available in the sanctuary cry room. Both nursery areas have a live audio feed of the days message available.
